I caught wind of this community and I made it a mission to get a post out here tonight. Well, I wasn't aware of such a community before now and I didn't prepare well but I needed to share my experience earlier today. Well, I visited the waterfalls at Osun state today and it was everything and more than what I thought it would be. Well, the details are in the post, keep reading to find out more.
What do you do when you are on leave at your workplace? Well, for me, I decided to see the world and visit places I haven't been to before. This time, it was a planned trip with friends and the journey was by road. I work at Lagos state in Nigeria and the place I wanted to see was 4 hours by road before we could get to our destination but the trip was worth it.
The trip to Osun from Lagos started around 5 am and we got to the Osun by 9 am. We got to the waterfall at exactly 10 am and it was there we relaxed a bit before we embarked on a short walk enroute to the waterfall location. We got to the first part of the waterfall and we discovered the water not rushing as we wanted then we made way to the second layer of which we had to climb other long stairs to get there. They were about seven layers before we could get to the mountain top.
Getting to the second layer, we met a lot of people already under the water but the sight of the mountain as the water drops from above was amazing. The water was coming from the top of the mountain which had 7 steps/layers/levels and we had to settle for level 2 of the mountain. There was music and happy faces and it was a trip worthy of all the stress. Of course, I jumped into the water (I won't share a picture of myself in my undies here but I will share that of others, lol).
Well, we took lots of pictures and it was an amazing sight. You can try to spot me here 😌. Well, still currently lodged at a nearby hotel Close to the water but will have to make my way back Home to Lagos tomorrow. This was quite an interesting experience for me and one I am very glad to have experienced.
Least I forget, this is a picture of me when we first arrived at the Waterfall scene. #WEDNESDAYWALK allowed me to share this and a big thanks to all readers and contributors. GOOD NIGHT FROM NIGERIA 🇳🇬
