It is #wednesdaywalk #17 of 2026, and since the weather was nice I decided to take a trip over to the mainland and visit "Cole Park" once again.
It has been a few weeks so I wanted to take a look around, and also see some of the areas I did not visit before!
First, a Seagull in the Parking lot. A lady was feeding them out her car window,
This is a view from under the main Shade Structure down the Pier, and quite literally into the Gulf,
This is from the right side of the Pier with the Bicycle rack,
And another look straight down the Pier, in front of the Shade Structure
To the left of the Pier, this is the (East Side) of the Downtown Corpus Christi Skyline,
This is two views of the "Kids Zone". The first I tried to get it all in - impossible!
This is on one side where you can see a little of the toddler trails and benches,
And this is the other side of that. You can also see the "Rubber Mats" that this whole area has to keep kids from getting hurt,
I liked this door going to the Kiddos "Fun house". Something different!
I also found these Poles under one of the Shade Structures at the edge of the Kids Zone,
They all have a little different story to tell!
I left that area and walking back around, this is a view of the Pier from the left side,
And a look across the lawn at the Skater area,
And something new they are building - for Kids. Behind this fence they are building a "Splash Zone",
These pictures that are on the fence I believe shows what it should look like done,
And just before I left I walked over by the "Amphitheatre". This is where the the bathrooms are but also the have Plays, Bands, and show Movies here on the weekends all Summer long, and it's free,
And then I headed back home and ended my day at "Cole Park".
