Earlier this day I walked all the way out to the market just to buy some food that we can cook for our lunch it’s just a normal everyday thing that I do all the time nothing fancy at all. But as I was making my way along the road step by step on the concrete path I saw those super pretty views again like I always do whenever I pass this way you know what I mean?
And then I suddenly remembered that I have an account on Hive so I thought to myself right then and there, “Hey there I really have to post these pictures over there because our place is really so nice and beautiful other people need to see what it looks like here!” The very first thing that you will always see when you come down this road are those really tall coconut trees.
They stand up straight and tall under the bright blue sky. Their big green leaves move and sway softly back and forth in the cool sea wind and it just looks so cool and peaceful to look at you can’t help but stop for a second to take it all in. Right nearby the edge of the path, there’s this old wooden fishing boat.
It’s lying there on the green grass and dry patches of hay it looks like it has been there for quite a long time already with its dark paint starting to fade a little bit but it fits right in with the whole scene you know? It feels like it’s just part of our regular life here living by the sea like it’s been waiting patiently.
Waiting for the next time someone will take it out to catch fish. Then when you keep on walking a little bit further ahead past the coconut trees and that old boat you will finally get to the shoreline itself where the land meets the water. Yeah I know our beach is not the kind with soft white sand.
Not like the ones you see in those travel pictures or postcards from other places it’s completely full of small smooth stones and pebbles instead and when you step on them they make a crunchy sound under your feet. But honestly speaking to you from the bottom of my heart? It is still so worth seeing.
Even with all those stones! The sea is just so big and wide and blue stretching all the way out to the horizon where you can’t see anything anymore except the sky meeting the water in a thin white line. The waves come rolling in gently towards the land sometimes breaking into small white foams.
As they hit the stones and there’s this big green hill sticking out into the water on one side completely covered with thick trees that never turn brown even when it’s really hot during the dry season. Sometimes when you look carefully enough, squinting your eyes a little to see better.
You can see small fishing boats floating out there on the water too those are our neighbors working hard out there with their nets and lines just like we all do every single day to make a living and put food on our tables. There is also this realy big tree that stands right there by the side of the path.
