Hi all 👋🏻
With this post I’m joining in at the Wednesday Walk challenge and Make me Smile challenge. That are hosted by and
every week on Wednesday.
‼️Have a look: Here in the Wednesday Walk Community if you want to join in! or at ’s Post here: Wednesday Walk the Beach and Winsegansett Marshes!
It tells you also the rules of joining 😁
I will guide you through my photographs and my walk around and in the Tal-Mixta Cave on Gozo, Malta 🇲🇹 today. It’s a beautiful “scenic spot” as you can see pretty far around 🔭
I will follow the time stamps of my photographs.
So you can walk along with me and look at all the stunning views I show you 😎 as if you would be right there with me taking it all in. 😉
Photos are all taken with my iPhone on the 16 August 2020 just before we moved back to Spain. 📦📦📦

Lets start our walk!
After following a rather bumpy road we parked our car in a car park close to the area.
We went from there on foot further. As we know where the cave is, through little wooden signs. We follow the path. But there is a road further and I saw on my phone at home, that it would be interesting to walk a little bit along it, past the cave. To explore the area a bit more 😎😁
So here we are walking down that path/ road.
Our view we got 🤩
Looking inland we see all terraces on the side of this hill. The locals made gardens there for crops and protected them with dried bamboo from the winds. It is an interesting view. Do you see the bamboo?
We walk further and see high cliff walls next to us.
The Mediterranean Sea 🌊 on the other side.
Little speed boats 🚤 are passing by quickly… in all directions.
Sailing boats are anchored 🌊⛵️⛵️🚤
The rock formations along the seafront.
After this view, we walk back up along the path and enter the cave by steps down. We see this view in front of us… it’s nicely shaded and a welcoming retrieve from the hot Sun ☀️ 😎
I take a photograph from the side of the Cave. Actually I try to avoid people here hahaha 🤣 it is a very popular spot for photographs, by locals and tourists. So this is me trying to avoid getting others in the photographs. 😁🤓
And now the other side of the cave… our view out is towards RAMBLA BAY one the most iconic beaches on Gozo 🇲🇹
As there is a ledge just after the cave opening, we step out to take better photographs of our views from Rambla Bay.
We see lots of people on the beach, many boats in the water 🚤⛵️
Zooming out again. So beautiful 🤩
A little bit further zoomed out. I love this view point 😎
Focussing on the beach. There is a statue right in the middle, but I can’t see it with my iPhone of course… even if I wanted to try. It’s just too far away. It is classed as the best beach from Malta. Ok, on the Island of Gozo, what is one of it’s archipelago’s.
Looking behind me we see the mouth of the cave.
I had to wait a while to get this shot 😉🤓
Closer by looking in.
As I turn around our views. People start to enter the cave again.
Quickly one big shot of the opening of the cave 🤩😎
A side view. Look at the colour of the water 💙💚
The textures of the walls…
All the way back in the cave now, people pass by and we get a view from afar. Now you can see the size of the cave opening. So you can relate better to it.
Behind me we see the exit on the right, where the light is shining. On the left side we see remnants of the cooking area. I believe this cave was used by farmers and goat shepherds back in the days.
No idea how old but it does look a long time ago. Malta has structures on the islands that even date back to before the pyramids 🤓 did you know?
A very wide view…
I just managed as everybody else was outside of the cave.
I did discover… on the side. A little small opening. Looking in the cave this is on the left side, bottom wall. You have to kneel down to look through it.
My view out of it.
Now we leave the cave on the right side, and go up the stairs…
One last photograph of the stairs 😁 man made, many moons ago…
We walk a bit further on a path towards the right, behind where the car is parked… and I take this last photograph of our views there.
A couple of speed boats are going along the coast line 🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤
And that’s all for today!
Until next time 😎
Hope you enjoyed my photos of this walk and going along with me. Thank you for looking and reading 😊 🙏🏻 Really much appreciated!
