I bring you warm greetings.
Hope you all are keeping fit with your Wednesday walks.
Got to know about this community courtesy of the #dreemport marathon and I'm excited to share my Wednesday walk with you, so join me.
I had gone to pay electricity bill at the electric company office located at Ikot-Ekpene Road by Georges Street, Aba, Nigeria after that I decided to have a walk around and probably make it down to my office.
These beautiful flowers will always give you a warmth welcome each time you go there. I like touching them, and sometimes, pluck some.
The electric company office
This road from the electric company leads to the popular Bata Junction where we had the Bata Leather Shoe Factory. But it's been long closed down.
Now here's another beautiful picture I captured. This is Ikot- Ekpene Road leading to the popular Waterside, Ogbor Hill, Aba.
See the magnificent trees that gave beauty to the road. They were planted in the early 2000's
Beside the electric company office is this flower shop. They have quite beautiful flowers here so I stopped to admire them and equally seek permission from the owner to capture them which he obliged
Opposite the flower outlet is this 5 Storey building precisely No1 Georges Street. This building houses so many businesses and churches. There is a TV school there too and it'd been standing for over 40 years, quite old. I've been opportune to go in there a couple of times and I must admit, it's a masterpiece.
Still on Georges Street and moving further, I saw this beautiful red SUV sitting pretty at the front of the building. You can also see the man adorned on black passing it. Although the picture is a bit blurred but I think it's a nice combination. 😄
By now it has started raining, though not much so I had to by the building till the rain stops.
After the rain, I continued and next thing my eagle eye camera captured was this pharmacy store. It was opened few years ago and they are doing pretty well.
Another one is Graceland Amusement Park, Georges Street by Park Road. They have lots of play stuffs for kids and it's usually busy on weekends and during holiday periods.
Finally this is Azikiwe Road by Georges Street, a very busy T- junction. From here you will get to the popular Highlife, a section of the "Ahịa Ọhụrụ" (New Market), to Azikiwe Asa Road, and Azikiwe By East Road, all popular junctions here.
Walking towards my office you will see this edifice, Apostolic Christian Church Mission, along Azikiwe Road, Aba.
My walk will not be complete without showing you a fast food place, Chicken Republic. They offer a variety of African and Continental cuisine plus snacks, ice creams, cakes and the rest at good prices. I like food a lot, so pardon me, lol. Unfortunately it's situated beside my office and each day, I go through "aromatic temptation" due to the emission of the delicacies they prepare 🤣.
The building just before it, that's where my office is, precisely second floor front. So you are free to visit any time you find yourself in Aba, Enyimba City, Abia State, Nigeria.
I hope you enjoyed the walk with me.
Thank you for visiting my blog and I will be looking forward to your comments.
