Hello Hivers, Nature Lovers, and Photography Lovers,
I had a beautiful walk along the canals on the outskirts of Coventry, and felt a real sense of relief from my 10-day mandatory quarantine, after returning from the Philippines.
Being able to roam freely feels good.
What I love most about walks in nature is that it soothes the soul, and with every step, there's always something to make your heart smile.
It all started the moment I woke up to the melodious sounds of birds chirping in a happy rhythm, as if they're celebrating the warmth of the sun; and I'm sitting in the bow of my narrowboat, looking across the canal, as the glaring rays of sunshine kisses my face.
Birds are taking the lead, gliding as if they are guiding us along their path.
I'm marvelled!
I hop off my boat to be closer to the tall trees that line the canals, and they make me want to salute!
There's a warm friendly atmosphere on the canals, and passersby and boaters tend to acknowledge each other, usually with remarks about the weather.
Everyone seems pretty much relieved and excited to be experiencing warmer temperatures.
When we think of beautiful islands, the UK is not foremost in our thoughts, however, for a nature lover, being in the suburbs with endless landscape and scenery, is quite a heavenly feeling.
At a far distance I could see flocks of white birds, and as I pressed my shutter release, I observed some black birds flying too ;)
I like the variety of narrowboats: the colors, themes, designs, sizes, and the individual touches and life that boaters breathe into their boats. They are eye-catching whether moored at a marina, along the banks or just cruising along.
I'll forever be in awe with nature, and always a pleasure to share the special moments of my #WednesdayWalk, a nice initiative of .
Thanks for stopping by.
