Exactly a week ago, I published a post where some spring, floral vibes crept through the screen to Hive. That was right here, in the Wednesday Walk community.
I feel like time has passed in the blink of an eye since then, but I have made visible progress in my repertoire (piano), so that is somehow the proof to me that some aliens did not steal a week of my life. Also, I have other proof that I was living my normal life and not abducted by anyone (maybe just kidnapped by Miss Time for a few days). On Monday morning, we did a larger walking tour, but only about halfway through that route did I remember that I could take some photos. We came across a dry riverbed that "flows" by our town, and initially, that was my intention to share it in today's post.
However, it happened that we also walked yesterday (Tuesday), and again, somewhere near the end of our walk, I decided to take a few pictures of the things I liked. Probably not so creative on my part as we deal with flowers again. 😂
We passed by many of these little "urban meadows", full of buzzing vegetation. Maybe it is normal to see thousands of little yellow, white and purple flowers, but for us this meadow with purple vibes was extremely beautiful even from afar. It was irresistible, and you can see that others felt the same desire to immortalise this purple flora. 😜
The next photo represents a spring vibe too, but coming from someone's yard. The grass was also full of little white flowers, and once again it reminded me of snow, like the almond trees' bloom last week did.
Btw, the trees are still in their blooming phase, spreading that divine, sweet fragrance around them.
After this little detour (Tuesday scenes), let's get back to my initial idea (Monday walk 😂) in the dry riverbed.
No, this is not just a path. That is a small river, or at least where it should flow.
We were joking that we have superpowers to be able to walk on "invisible water" 😂, but actually it was a mix of gravel, pebbles and sand we were walking on. Well, on a rainy day (in case of heavy rain), it wouldn't be a good idea to take this same path for our walk.
Around the dry riverbed, we saw again... guess what!?
Almond trees with their blossoms, of course! 😁
We have never walked here before. We just supposed we would get to one bridge (where we passed a few times and saw this riverbed from it), so everything we saw was a surprise. For example, this...something. Can we call it a wall? Maybe it was a dam in the past which collapsed over time, or it was done on purpose to let the "water" pass. Or it could be that there was a gate between the walls. In any case, the construction doesn't seem to be new at all.
Slowly, the riverbed was becoming narrower with each step. At some points, we had to make our way through dry branches; fortunately, it was thornless vegetation.
The cacti did have spines! They (the spines, not the cacti themselves) are the arch-enemy of my fingers. 😅
Here we came across a fallen pine tree that at first sight seemed challenging to pass, but in the end it wasn't difficult.
We made it to the other side of the tree obstacle, and not far from it, we recognised the small bridge. There, we already knew where we were - close to the civilisation again.
And close to cats! 🙂 Apparently, someone is giving them food here. Just one cat made it into a photo, though it also ran away when we got closer.
We passed one of the tubes and from that other side we could climb to the asphalted road. My Wednesday Walk would finish here... although it was 2 in 1 - two walks in one post, with the intention of bringing just this second part, but I somehow prefer the purple vibes from the beginning. Ok, I am scrolling up to see once again the flowers and well, letting myself be taken by Miss Time for the things that wait for me today. 🌸
