A very long day is behind us. Early in the morning, our road trip began. Yesterday evening I got the idea to post some photos of the city where we would spend some hours and ask where we are. Of course, if I take some photos. And I did :)
We walked a bit there but I am sure everyone would recognize immediately the place. It was Barcelona where we stopped after 5 hours of driving to pick up our son who has been spending already some days in that city. We had lunch - not a very good one, it was overpriced and nothing special. I got a dirty spoon for my miso soup and then I had it enough. Almost hungry we continued our trip and in two hours reached France. It was already 18:00 but we still had to drive about two hours more to reach the place where I am right now.
We booked our accommodation last night in a small village. I found it cosy and in the centre, just by the church and the square. Right now while I am writing this post I am thinking whether it was a good idea... the bell on the church marks every 30 minutes... I hope we will sleep without being bothered by that sound. But it is kind of romantic too hahaha, sleeping in the centre of a super tiny village and listening to the church bells, people who pass in the narrow streets and the happy swallows that fly between the old houses.
The name of the village - that is my question to all of you. Well, maybe I will mark it on my map so you can find it out, but then it is not genuine to find it out that way. But I am leaving it up to you.
What I can say is that I really like it. The roads and the pavements in the centre are like in the following photo:
There is a little park or garden in the middle of the village, but it was closed. From the flag, you can already know the country.
Just by the entrance to our hotel, there is a restaurant. We went to park the car and it was still empty.
Dinner. Shower. An additional walk through the village. The tables of the little restaurant were not empty anymore.
Hahaha, right now I am laughing as the church bells just rang ten times. 😂 Loudly. Oh, this will be an interesting night...
Ok, let's keep on with our second walk. The church again and the little square in front of it with the terrasse of another restaurant/bar.
Seems that this was a school for girls.
On the opposite side of the street, there was the school for boys, but the name of this village was also seen so I will not post that photo. However, here comes the map. I am now in the street Gand-Rue François Mitterrand.
More of these narrow streets...
If these streets and buildings can't reveal where I am, maybe some details from the facades can help. I know, I know, they can't help but anyway, there were cute.
A horse and bulls on a gate!
Interesting mailbox, to receive letters... and bills :D
I found a cat too, but it was not very friendly. It talked to me in a language I didn't understand. Who knows what it said to me actually?
This drawing of a kitty was nicer than the real cat. I think it can bring a smile to our faces, as trying to find out where I am is maybe not the most interesting thing 😁
Good luck anyway :))
