Green! Green! Greeeen!
Yesterday our eyes enjoyed a lot the green 💚 colours of Linz. We arrived here in the morning, after an early morning flight we had from Spain. Uber, quick coffee (that I will not remember for its special taste or quality but because of its price haha), accommodation, lunch, siesta and a long, long afternoon walk across the city of Linz.
While we were heading toward the city center we passed through a park. Very green, of course!
It seems that this park celebrated its 190th anniversary, although it will turn 200 in three years. The boards showed some scenes from the past and present too, how it changed and works that have been done. I didn't understand anything so I can't tell you more about it. 😂
Flowers are the first thing that you can notice, apart from the green.
The trees were also showing their full happiness. Well, not sure we can attribute emotions to this phase of their life, when they bloom? Of course, joy and happiness. :))
These are horse chestnut trees, those that grow in my hometown too. While we were strolling here, we talked to our friend about these trees and our childhood.
The flowers of these tall trees are white or pink, both shades are so pretty! In autumn the conkers were recollected and brought to forests for wild animals.
And you know, fountains and statues can't miss from a park. So, we came across a few ones, probably some important people from the past of this city, or maybe from legends; and also a snake-shaped ring, Der Ring des Nibelungen. The lady in the center of this fountain could deserve her own story, what just happens is that it is still unwritten. 😂
After this park, we continued toward the cathedral and Danube until we destroyed our feet! 😂
