The area around the Sile river amazed us a couple of years ago when we walked here for the first time. Then we had as a guide an Italian Hiver, a friend who this time could not join us on this walk. Admittedly, we walked a different route with him, a longer one and through a deeper forest, although this walk that took place yesterday afternoon was also good for stretching our legs from driving.
We are on the move these days, as you might know. Right now I write this post from the phone while it is my husband's turn to drive. Ah, and I may stay without internet connection for some hours, however I will be back as soon as we resolve that detail.
Yesterday we drove from a city in the south of France, Nîmes, to Treviso (near Venice) in Italy. There we booked a hotel room that I liked very much, as we are always satisfied with the service in this country. A shower, a short trip to the store to buy some essentials and a walk around the river could begin.
A small additional detail is that after that short purchase of water and some snacks, I came to the hotel room with a new dress. 😂

The walk started here, with this little bridge. We crossed it and walked through the forest on the other side of the river Sile. Our destination was a place called Lago Verde. We know the best pizza can be found there.
I hope you can also feel how peaceful and fresh this area is. So much greenery, little birds and the sound of the river make it perfect for a refreshing stroll, especially after a whole day spent on the road 🛣️.
We reached Lago Verde pizzeria after some 20 or 25 minutes. I don't have to say what we ordered. The simplest but most delicious Italian food. 😁

After our dinner, with full tummies we walked back to our accomodation but this time through the town. A simple but lovely chapel and very nice houses accompanied us.
To finish this Wednesday Walk, this sunset over Lago Verde could not be missed out. 😇
