It's been a while since I spent a long time with my sister, let alone go on a trip with her. We aren't that close-knitted even when we went to the same university. We prefer to explore the world separately. However, yesterday we had one business in common and we did it together. Gosh, that sounds cheesy.
We work on processing our papers for employment. We went from different government agencies to one another. We rode in public vehicles. We also walked our way through when it was just nearby. It was a long day yesterday however, we persisted in the name of working towards goals.
My sister is a fast walker. Many times I would be left behind as I'm not accustomed to walking fast under the scorching heat of the sun. I don't mind walking. I just don't like doing it when the sun's raging heat is present. I have been used to just sitting the whole day looking at my computer and walking under the sun's heat is close to impossible for me.
My sister
We're on our way to BIR this time. We just walked since it's near. I like the bricks here and the lamp posts. It's very city-like. The bermudagrass also adds beauty to the landscape. This one is just near the bay. It's a perfect spot for an afternoon jog or an early morning walk.
The San Francisco Plants blocking the Murals
On the left side of that pathway is the city high school. It's a school fence a concrete wall full of different murals. I like how near the place is. It's nice that there aren't any vendors on this side of the city.
Waiting...
After a few minutes, we arrived at our destination. We waited patiently. I'm surprised by the speed of the process here. Last time, it took me a day to process my business here. Imagine my frustration. As a person who isn't fond of waiting, it's a long agony for me. Glad that there is a change in the system already. Guess, the papers we dropped on their suggestion box are being read.
Before we went home, we made a short trip to the nearby fast food chain. We then walk our way to the bus terminal. My sister is a fan of walking I can say. Well, I also didn't complain. I took the opportunity to click as many as I can for future references.
I love how colourfully painted the city's name is. The decoration on top of the name also adds to the festivity concept that the city is trying to portray.
The Church
Near the city's park is this old cathedral. I'm not Catholic but I love how this church is built. It may look ancient but still sturdy.
Across the church
What I like about this city is the many seats available for everyone. The trees provide shelter, and shade and maintain the atmosphere here. You will not worry about where to wait for someone as there are a lot of benches available for you to sit on. It's perfect for family dates or friendly meet-ups.
The Pavilion
This pavilion has been standing here for years, I think. Every time I visit the city, it's always there. It wasn't ruined. It is still green with the help of plants and vines. If I were a student in one of the colleges in this city, I would most likely visit the pavilion frequently. I bet it's nice to read there or just spend time gazing at other people.
Grab some snack
I enjoyed taking photos. I didn't know that my sister is up for some snacks that's why she's fast at walking. I haven't eaten grilled bananas for a long time. I'm glad that I finally bumped into it unexpectedly. We grabbed two. One for me and one for my sister. Our stomachs are happy and our craving is satisfied. We went home happily.
Thanks for reading.
