Hello, dear Hivers! Have a prosperous New Year! This was my first walk of the year. In this blog, I'm going to take you on a virtual tour where we had our afternoon delight stroll in one of the towns in the Northwest of Cebu.
As the sun was about to take its wonderful set, the sky gave off a cooler temperature, perfect for taking a leisurely walk. We were having a delightful experience with the scenic view of Tuburan Cebu.
At the central place of this municipality is their park, where people used to visit and spend their vacant time. During our visit, Dr. Jose Rizal's monument was well-decorated as we religiously commemorated his day. The park is surrounded by green scenery which is attractive and appealing to humans' eyes and feelings. Staying under the cool shade of the trees was truly relaxing.
In front of the park is an array of well-decorated stalls made from local materials puzzled my mind about what these things are for. Their annual fest celebration is fast approaching and they used to display goodies and other stuff here truly longed for by local tourists. They were incredible to look at, so amazing, as they have been applying native themes.
I crossed the road and headed to their plaza. The huge colorful Christmas tree was still there, and many people were having fun as they took a break here with their loved ones. Same with their park, the plaza is so relaxing to stay with due to the green scenes. This well-known local destination is usually looked at by people due to the simply amazing atmosphere where you can feel relaxation due to its wide and spacious area.
A bunch of people were seen along the road due to their enticing street food stalls. This is famous to us due to the different food streets displayed. It is interesting as we can have our taste preferences. Their display made my mouth water and the prices are affordable.
The means of transportation here are tricycles with uniform yellow paint. This color is their unique identity. I just don't know what is the story behind it. There are also motor taxis if the passengers are in a hurry. These can transport them quickly to where they want to be.
The building in front of the tricycles and motor taxi parking area is their public market. It is very accessible and beautiful since that is situated nearer the park and plaza. It is more convenient due to the visibility of the building and after buying the needed stuff, the accessibility of the transportation is one step closer to the buyers.
After about a 2-minute walk from the park, I reached their old church located at the back of their plaza. It was closed during my visit, however as I got closer the beauty in it captivated my attention. The church structure emphasizes historical appearance. It is one of the ancient churches in Cebu. The architectural design belongs to ancient times and is truly strong.
This afternoon stroll at Tuburan delighted my feelings. I was able to have a quick connection with the town's economy and had gave me a better understanding of why it is rising and why this place is famous to many.
In my next blog, I'm going to share some of their beautiful spots that are truly majestic. This town for me, should be included in the travel bucket list once you will visit the Northwest of Cebu.
Thank you so much. For more discovery of Tuburan's wonders.
