Good evening friends of Hive, here I am for the usual Wednesday walk, today I'll take you with me near my new house. As you know, I recently moved to a new city but I haven't had much time to visit the surroundings and when I had time it usually rained heavily. Today is a beautiful day so I headed out to explore. In the meantime, I headed straight after the station which is a five-minute walk from my house and which I had already seen last week when I had to use it to go to a job. I took the opportunity to take a tour outside the Montecatini Terme station. A beautiful square with typical houses is what I saw, plus a marble tower, a tower or turret I don't know which one the Internet says is the symbol of the station (not knowing the city yet, I use Google Maps to get around, how lucky I was to have internet when I was young when there were no smartphones, I would have had to use a paper map). The station square is very beautiful, large, clean and surrounded by various buildings. It's a fairly quiet place, which is rare for places near stations, but luckily I live near a small and not very busy station not very frequented.
Buenas noches, amigos de Hive, aquí estoy para el paseo habitual de los miércoles. Hoy los llevaré conmigo cerca de mi nueva casa. Como saben, me mudé recientemente a una nueva ciudad, pero no he tenido mucho tiempo para visitar los alrededores y, cuando lo he tenido, suele llover mucho. Hoy es un día hermoso, así que salí a explorar. Mientras tanto, me dirigí directamente a la estación, que está a cinco minutos a pie de mi casa y que ya había visto la semana pasada cuando tuve que usarla para ir al trabajo. Aproveché para hacer un recorrido por los alrededores de la estación de Montecatini Terme. Vi una hermosa plaza con casas típicas, además de una torre de mármol, una torre o torreta, no sé cuál, Internet dice que es el símbolo de la estación (aún no conozco bien la ciudad, uso Google Maps para orientarme; qué suerte tuve de tener internet cuando era joven, cuando no había teléfonos inteligentes, habría tenido que usar un mapa de papel). La plaza de la estación es muy bonita, grande, limpia y rodeada de varios edificios. Es un lugar bastante tranquilo, lo cual es raro en lugares cerca de estaciones, pero por suerte vivo cerca de una estación pequeña y poco transitada.
I then continued my walk toward one of the first avenues that appeared—apparently, this city is full of avenues. I walked down a beautiful tree-lined avenue full of businesses, especially ethnic ones (I found three kebab shops and several Arab and Russian shops; there's a large Arab and Eastern European community here), and then an interesting luxury car shop that we could never afford. I wandered around the avenues for a bit, risking getting lost since they all seemed the same, all large and with beautiful trees and so many businesses in every shutter. Then I turned back toward home because the wind had started to pick up, which despite the sun was really bothersome, and I didn't want to risk a blow to my neck. It was a simple and pleasant walk, but I still have so much to explore in and around the city!
Luego continué mi camino hacia una de las primeras avenidas que vi; al parecer, esta ciudad está llena de avenidas. Caminé por una hermosa avenida arbolada repleta de comercios, especialmente étnicos (encontré tres puestos de kebab y varias tiendas árabes y rusas; aquí hay una gran comunidad árabe y de Europa del Este), y luego una interesante concesionaria de autos de lujo que jamás podríamos permitirnos. Deambulé un rato por las avenidas, arriesgándome a perderme, ya que todas parecían iguales: grandes, con hermosos árboles y muchísimos negocios en cada ventana. Después regresé a casa porque el viento había empezado a arreciar, lo cual, a pesar del sol, era bastante molesto, y no quería arriesgarme a que me golpeara el cuello. Fue un paseo sencillo y agradable, ¡pero aún me queda mucho por explorar en la ciudad y sus alrededores!
