Hi to all!
Today I had a real "Wednesday walk", which was very interesting and cool.
In the morning, I did not know that we would be invited to go kayaking 🛶. But when I received this offer, I immediately agreed. I've never kayaked though! My children too.
The weather today for kayaking was favorable: there were no strong waves, the air temperature was 19 degrees ⛅️.
A friend took us to the city of Carantec. There we got wetsuits, life jackets, oars and were given kayaks. Two men in one kayak. The stronger person should sit in the back.
I got into the kayak with my daughter, my 2 sons got into a separate kayak, and our friend got into the third kayak by himself. So we began to swim deep into the ocean. 🌊
I will say right away that I was really afraid! We still don't know how to swim. Every wave that rocked our kayak scared me. But we still rowed and sailed further and further. My sons had no fear at all and swam fast and enjoyed it.
When I was on the water, my biggest fear was being in the water. And although I understood that the vest was on me and the children, the depth still scared me, I could not imagine what I would do if I or one of the children fell into the water. But they calmed me down a bit and told me that the kayak would not capsize. 🛶
There are a lot of boats on this shore. From time to time, people swam on motor boats, and this created waves for us) But somewhere in the middle of our swim, I began to calm down, tried to take a deep breath and enjoy the fact that I am in the middle of the water looking at the distant shore, I can look at the horizon, at the houses, landscapes, rocky shores, etc. 🌤
I didn't have my phone with me, but our friend took a picture of us on his phone, for which I am very grateful.
Active recreation for the French in our area is commonplace. Apparently, they have already swam on kayaks hundreds of times) And for us it was a debut. It was very interesting to try, and the children immediately stepped on the shore and said that they wanted to swim again. This is a good result. 👍

Boats leave for sailing from this shore. Many boats are moored here. Our friend's boat is also here, so my boys swam to it.
I really enjoyed our spontaneous kayaking trip.
