I got behind the wheel again in Italy. This is a big step forward for me in my driving experience!
The last time I drove a car was in May in Kemer, and at a distance of 50 km in the mountains of Kemer
And later I did not drive again for three months.
It may not be such a big deal for you, but it is for me. Because before I left Ukraine, I just finished 20 lessons, I was planning to buy a car... but the war started. That's why I started driving a car abroad!
So I was scared again... But I dared, and for a week I became the owner of a silver Ford Fiesta, automatic transmission :)
Our home is in the mountains, so I drive on serpentines every day. The next question is where to parking the car. It is not possible to enter the city. Only for city residents. So we left our car by the wall of the historic town of Bassiano where we live.
Yesterday we decided to go to the nearby historic town of Sermonenta and the GPS took us a short way through the mountains! At first I liked it. We drove along a narrow road between overgrown blackberries. We were alone on this road, so we decided to stop and enjoy the mountain scenery.
On this day, there were fantastic gray-purple clouds in the sky!
My Victoria wanted to shoot mountains with a drone. Darinka and I were walking and eating blackberries. And then we heard a strange sound. There were two horses that seemed to be talking to each other: Look, some foreigners have come to our mountains!
Italian mountains are very beautiful. They are covered with forest. There are many Lebanese cedars in the mountains and everywhere on the roads of Italy. Also overgrown with juniper. That's why it smells very nice here.
We drove on, and soon our road left the forest and there was a cliff on one side. It was very scary! At first there was a curb made of stone, and then it disappeared and I was driving at a speed of 20 km, almost pressing the car to the left side, away from the cliff! To my great luck, there was no car to meet at that moment.
You can see this way in the video that my daughter, who was riding next to me, took from the car window!
We successfully passed this risky part of the road and left for the descent to Sermonenta. The sun was already setting. We did not have time to go to this old city that day. But you can see it in the distance on the mountain!
This is my contribution to the #wednesdaywalk challenge, initiated by :)
P.S. I wrote a post yesterday at 1 am sitting in my rental car near a restaurant where I used to drink tea before, so I have the Wi Fi password ))) There is no internet in my apartment where I am now! I was too tired to respond to comments. I will do it now :)
Thank you for your support ❤️
