I bought myself a blue fur coat :) Last winter I wore black, and this year my soul yearned for blue...
One sunny winter morning I went outside and saw the snow-capped peaks of the Kemer Mountains! I felt: I need to go somewhere higher, where the air is cleaner and thoughts become simpler. We got into our rented little "KIA", and an exciting ride along the serpentines began, higher and higher, to where the soul rests and is filled with energy again.
Our road led us along the cliffs, from where only the tops of the pine trees were visible. There was no fear, only awe at the grandeur and beauty of nature, as well as admiration for the human skill of those who paved this mountain road! I looked carefully ahead and felt how with each kilometer my soul was filled with this grandeur.
It was like chasing the sun, which inexorably sank lower and lower into the mountains and disappeared... It became cloudy all around, only higher up in the mountains the sun still illuminated the space, and we hurried there.
We parked our car near the village mosque and continued on foot, looking at the village houses against the backdrop of sunlit rocks.
I enjoyed the moss and some flowers growing directly on the stones.
Kemer, Turkey
After walking around here for a bit, we went even higher. The road continued to lead us through a pine forest. Trees were cut down on both sides. People were cutting firewood to heat their homes. Suddenly we saw two graves right next to the road. It was mystical...
And so we stopped on the side of the road above a wide valley. There, the clouds lay on the mountains like soft blankets, slowly moving over the peaks. Time seemed to have stopped. I stood and was silent, because at such moments words are superfluous. I enjoyed this space that my soul yearns for. The camera cannot fully convey the full range of my feelings, which I tried to assemble like puzzles in my photos and videos.
Here I noticed thorny bushes that had fruits that looked like acorns. It was a wonder! After all, in Ukraine acorns grow on big, mighty oak trees! I thought - maybe the local squirrels eat it :) However, I have never seen them in the Turkish mountains. I wonder: are there squirrels here?
I walked a little along the road, looking at everything down in the valley, and saw a large area occupied by greenhouses. In Turkey, people are very hardworking. And we have the opportunity to buy fresh vegetables and fruits all winter at the market from the villagers.
The mountains above Kemer are truly natural masterpieces! They have been captivating and surprising me for tree years now. The air here is incredibly beautiful in all seasons, and the pictures of nature are different every time. I hope I was able to convey to you a piece of our joy 😊
At the end of our mountain walk, we took some breathtaking photos to remember. Our blue fur coat looks luxurious against the evening sky and green pine trees, doesn't it? 😊
