Today is Wednesday. It's a great day to share in the Wednesday Walk community. Because today is not only the middle of the week, but also a very precious and special day for Muslims: the first day of Eid al-Adha.
Holiday days always have a special place for me. There is a sweet rush in the houses. Candies and chocolates are taken. Doors are knocked, elders are visited, prayers are said. People say nice words to each other. Even a small smile is enough to describe the spirit of the holiday. The spiritual meaning of Eid al-Adha is much deeper. People who have the opportunity sacrifice. This can sometimes be sheep, sometimes rams, sometimes cows. Not everyone's condition is the same. Therefore, this is for those who have the power of worship. The important thing is not only to sacrifice, but to share, to be grateful and to beautify the intention in the heart.
I started the day very peacefully this morning. I watched the sunrise while drinking my tea on my balcony. As the sky slowly brightened up, very good feelings formed in me. It was as if a new page was opened. The sun rising over the city reminded me of both the abundance of the holiday and the small but very precious moments of life. The birds were floating in the sky, the streets were still very quiet. At that moment, I just watched, thought and thanked.
I walked on a very nice walking route yesterday. In fact, I found this walk even more meaningful to share with you today. Because I always had good prayers while walking. Greenery, flowers, trees, small sounds of water and calm walking paths along the way were very good for me. As you will see in the photos, the route was really peaceful. Although it is in the city, one feels calmer, lighter and happier.
Especially the small areas where the water flowed was very beautiful. The sound of water flowing through the stones gives people peace. Sometimes just standing in the shade of a tree, sometimes even walking on a flowery road rests one's heart. I felt the beauty of spring more while passing under the trees full of pink flowers. Everywhere was lush. Grass full of small white flowers, long walking path and buildings visible in the distance created a very beautiful view.
While walking, not only my body, but also my soul rested. Sometimes I walked fast, sometimes I slowed down. I stopped in some places and took pictures. Because I just didn't want to see these beauties myself. I wanted to share it with you too. That's my favorite part of the Wednesday Walk community. We all share our different walks from different places. Sometimes a city street, sometimes a park, sometimes a seaside, sometimes such a lush route accompanies us.
During this march, I prayed for all humanity. I prayed for everyone who is in a difficult situation in the world, struggling with the disease, struggling with a living, feeling lonely, heartbroken. May God give health to everyone. May he grant everyone the best according to their hearts. May he give halal sustenance materially and spiritually. May he bring peace to our homes, abundance to our tables, and goodness to our hearts.
Since today is the first day of Eid al-Adha, this post has become even more special for me. I think the holiday is not only a day of joy, but also a day of sharing, mercy and prayer. That's why I send my best wishes from the heart to everyone who reads this article.
Have a blessed holiday. May this beautiful day bring goodness, abundance, health and peace to all people. May my Lord grant us all roads full of beauty. Hope to see you in many peaceful walks.
