Today Wednesdays was another good day In School with students. We had a clear weather compare to the previous two days. Students came to school earlier than yesterday.
As usaull learning activities take place following the school time table. As a teacher I had to do my job and today happens to be a practical class for my subject (Agriculture). Learning agriculture most be accompanied by practical for better comprhension. So today we learn how to make ridges aamd planting Maize.
It was a first time to many students engaging in manual tillage or handling a hoe. The lack the skills and so were nervous. As I watch each students handle a hoe one after the other for the experince. We live in a contry bless with abundants agricultural resources thus, the need to teach this younger generation not just theoretical but practical. For the first timers, it was an experience never to forget and somthig to cherished for the rest of fhe day. I taught the stundnts also how to plant Maize seedlings planting two per hole at 75x25cm spacing.
It's a wednesday to remember becouse it's a day we took part in a practical class of planting seeds and hope to see the outcome in next three months .
