who would not
put one foot forward
and then another?
black walnuts -
treachery from above
and below
which way?
shady and dew soaked
or sunny and dry?
buckthorn arbor
drawing me
on
clouds
hovering over
my path
hear the dog
splashing
in water
silent
immersion
still and alive
we have been
made afraid
of peace
home
happy
hungry
This is my long overdue entry to 's weekly and wonderful Wednesday Walk initiative. How I wish I could capture color and breath the way that he does!
I've been writing a lot of haiku lately, thanks to and The Blockchain Poets community. I find my tiny poems are often more powerful and clear if I use even fewer than seventeen syllables. A reader has to think more, to be more fully there.
Thank you for coming along.
