I have a bad habit to share with you... I get annoyed fast... And most of the time, with some stupid and ridiculous things... For example, having lunch and food falls off my fork... Or doing something very carefully, and then my hand slips and I ruin the work... Or having a great time, and I got sick... (happened recently at #HODAlicante)...
Those are some of the things that I usually slip, or make a mistake, or life happens... On the side of that, many things annoy me... Recently, I have had one main thing that annoys me... When people tell me (or us) that we can't do something... Let me explain myself...
The obvious example was during the C19 times, when the media was poisoning us with how we can't do anything, limiting us, and in some way, taking our freedoms... "Just in case..." That was the obvious answer for anything... People got ridiculed... I remember seeing people alone in the car, driving and wearing a mask... Or sitting in the middle of the woods, alone, with a mask on... It wasn't the case that someone TOOK our powers... It was the case that we gave our powers to others...
Another example was happening over the last few decades... I remember while I was living in Serbia, whenever there was a need for building a new road, or some big project, the job would be assigned to some foreign company, as our domestic companies DIDN'T KNOW to do it! Just to have a perspective, a lot of big skyscrapers in the Emirates were built by Yugoslavian companies!
Similarly, the "power thing" is repeating over and over again... You can't build a shed alone, you don't know how to do it... You can't change the light bulb, you have to call an electrician... You can't walk on the street after dark, it's too dangerous... You can't go to school alone, someone will kidnap you... You can't walk from one town to another, it's too far!!!
To be honest, the last sentence was something that I blindly accepted, without even trying... Thanks to Google Maps, I entered my starting point and my ending point, realizing that the distance is shorter than I thought! I walked from Benidorm to Alfaz del Pi for only 1.5 hours and reached my destination alive! I could do it!
And not just that, I took some fantastic photos on my path and enjoyed it a lot... Okay, after one week of staying at home and trying to get better, it was a bit of a bold step, but it was just what I needed!
I was walking partly on the route which I had done a couple of times in the past, and I didn't forget to take a photo of my favorite, carob tree... If this tree could talk, it would probably say something like: "F%ck it! You can't kill me! Until I have one healthy root, I will grow and bring fruits to the world!" That's why I love it!
The day was beautiful, with cloudy skies, but with enough sun to make them even prettier...
How about this "small" house for retirement days, ? 😃
The ideal place to live is when it's close enough to the sea, but also to the mountains, while having peace far away from city hustle and bustle... I could live in this suburb... Easily...
When I was living in this area, I thought that there was no "new" space for building, but I was wrong... A few years ago, this was a nice small woods, where you could take your doggie for a walk, or just enjoy the shade of big trees... Today, it's another construction place, and probably more tourist apartments in the near future...
These carob trees are still holding... But until when... Until another investor buys the land and starts building...
Another place, which was just a dirty parking lot... Today, it's a fenced area for the future Camper park...
This is where my walk came to an end... I was a bit hungry and completely forgot to take a photo BEFORE taking a bite of delicious merengue... Bon appetite!
And don't forget... You are the only one who can give your power away; nobody can take it from you... And you are the only one who can LIMIT yourself, your freedoms, and your possibilities!
Thank you for your time.
