This is my first Wednesday walk, well, my first time posting in this community. When I was younger I didn't go for walks much, I was almost always studying for university or working, and I liked to spend the weekends at home resting, but since I became a dad it's no longer possible to stay at home on weekends, and not to mention the tranquility.

Este es mi primer paseo de Miercoles, bueno, mi primera vez publicando en esta comunidad. Yo de más joven salía poco a pasear, casi siempre estaba estudiando para la universidad o trabajando, y me gustaba quedarme los fines de semana en mi casa descansando, pero desde que soy papá ya no es posible quedarme los fines de semana en casa, y ni hablar de la tranquilidad.
Children need to have fun, and every now and then my wife and I take our little girl out for a walk. She is very entertained by any outing, and what she likes best is when we take her to the park to play with other children. Today's walk was not in a park, but she also liked it very much because we went for an ice-cream. All children adore ice cream, and of course we do too and even more so in our always so hot weather.
This ice cream parlour is relatively new, and is located between Zapata and 12th streets, in Vedado, in front of the Colon Cemetery, in the province of Havana. It is a well known location and very popular with tourists who come to admire the beautiful architecture of the cemetery and the works of art inside it.
Los niños necesitan divertirse, y cada cierto tiempo mi esposa y yo llevamos de paseo a nuestra niña. Ella se entretiene mucho con cualquier salida, y lo que más le gusta es que la llevemos al parque a jugar con otros niños. El paseo de hoy no fue en un parque, pero también le gustó mucho porque nos fuimos a tomar helado. A todos los niños les encanta el helado, y por supuesto a nosotros también y más en nuestro clima tan caluroso siempre.
Esta heladería es relativamente nueva, y se encuentra entre las calles Zapata y 12, en el Vedado, frente al Cementerio de Colon, en la provincia de La Habana. Es una ubicación bastante conocida y muy visitada por los turistas que van a admirar la bella arquitectura del cementerio y las obras de arte que hay dentro de él.
The ice cream parlour has been refurbished since the last time we went, and this time it looked different, much nicer and brighter. They painted it in light colours and added a space with small tables and chairs for the children to sit and play. This was what my daughter liked the most, and she wanted to take several photos of herself sitting on one of the benches there.
La heladería ha sido remodelada desde la última vez que fuimos, y esta vez lucía diferente, mucho más bonita e iluminada. La pintaron con colores claros y añadieron un espacio con pequeñas mesas y sillas para que los niños puedan sentarse y jugar. Esto fue lo que más le gustó a mi hija, y quiso tirarse varias fotos sentada en uno de los bancos que había alli.
The best part was when they served us the ice cream, as we were a bit hungry. We didn't have to wait long though and the service was quick. We ordered a "tres gracias" for each of us, although the scoops were a bit too small for my taste. In addition to ice cream, this place also offers hamburgers, and they are very popular, but we are faithful to ice cream.
Lo mejor fue cuando nos sirvieron los helados, ya que teníamos un poco de hambre. Aunque no tuvimos que esperar mucho y el servicio fue rápido. Pedimos un "tres gracias" para cada uno, aunque para mí gusto las bolas estaban un poco pequeñas. En este lugar además de helado también ofertan hamburguesas, y tienen muy buena aceptación, pero nosotros somos fieles al helado.
Whenever we are in Vedado we always come to the ice cream parlour on Zapata and 12th. It is an outing that we enjoy very much with the family, especially the little girl.
Siempre que estamos en el Vedado venimos a la Heladería de Zapata y 12. Es una salida que disfrutamos mucho en familia, sobre todo la niña.
