Mommy F is complaining that she doesn't have any new clothes to wear for Christmas, particularly a T-shirt. So I suggested that she go visit a thrift shop here in our area to look for some and I'll accompany her, but then she said "no," because she didn't want it. I mean, it's understandable, she wants a brand new one and not a secondhand one for Christmas, it's a special day anyway. So, last Sunday she planned to travel to Pinamalayan and visit King Plaza, I am automatically coming with her, of course. I thought we would go on Monday, but then it didn't happen, so she decided to go today.
It's a sudden one, although she planned it, she didn't set a date to go travel to Pinamalayan. We usually go in the morning, but today we did it this afternoon after taking our lunch.
12:25, we are already onboarded on the Forland. The trip took 30 minutes to reach King Plaza, and we even had a hard time crossing the road to get to the other side because of the traffic. It's a good thing that some tricycle drivers let us cross the road and stop for a second.
And the first thing Mom's did was to take a picture. I mean, she wants me to take a picture of her and share it on her Facebook account, haha, and of course I gladly take it, lol. Look at her so happy ฅ•ﻌ•ฅ. You see that long line at the back? Those are the people who's ready to pay now to the cashier.
It seems like King Plaza has a good sale again today. And people just keep on coming here, and it gets crowded too, which is kind of annoying because it's hot. But for sure, most people here are buying gifts for Christmas. And for sure, more people will come in here as Christmas is about to come. How about you guys? Have you already started your shopping spree for Christmas gifts?
So, the main purpose of going here was to buy a t-shirt for Mom, she wants three brand new shirts. She has the money, and she said it is a gift for herself. She has a lot of shoes but no clothes, lol. So here we are in the clothes section. She's already looking for some, she wants a cotton-made shirt, but it's hard to find here. The fabric used is different from what we usually buy, but Mom still chooses some. She just looks at the design and color she wants. By the way, I also took a selfie of myself, I am just like dust here, so nevermind, lol.
And because we are looking for three shirts, we kind of spend more time choosing here. And every time my mom likes some, she will try them on. It's sad that this one is a little small for here. She wants something a little bigger than this and where she can breathe smoothly. She was really surprised that she's getting bigger now, her size is XL now, from Large. So I told her here, "Mom, you're really surprised by that. I mean, you eat a lot now, so of course you'll gain weight." She didn't answer because she knows it too, lol.
I just let Mom choose the shirt she wanted. While I just look around while waiting for her. I am actually looking for a particular pair of pants. I want cargo pants with six pockets. But what I found here has only four pockets but no pocket at the back. And they only have one design and one color available, which is sad. That's the only thing I want, but I couldn't find any. After checking, I just walked to where Mom is to help her choose the shirt she wants. In the end, she only got two shirts.
And I didn't know this, but we also proceeded on this section to get a short for her. She only gets one, which I find expensive. But when Mom wants something, no matter what the price, she will still get it. If she can afford it, then why not? I'm not like that, though, because the first thing I check when I shop is its price tag. And when I see that it is so pricey, I will let go of it, no matter how much I like it. How about you? Are you a shopper who doesn't check the price or the opposite of it?
It's time to go down, we're done choosing, and here's Mom's pick. She's also getting the money to pay for these items after computing them all. Would you believe that for these four items, she paid 1022 PHP, or $18.26? One of the shirts is $6.42, while the other, which is the short, costs her $5.88. Yep, that shirt is more expensive than the short. Mom doesn't really mind, it's just me who's overreacting, lol. Either way, we had fun, especially with her, so the money spent this day is all worth it.
By the way, I only have one complaint about this shop. It's the escalator, Mom really had a hard time going down because it's not working. It has a lot of steps, but it's a good thing that there's something she can hold on to, so I don't need to hold on her. I'm just walking in front of her while looking at her.
We successfully landed on the ground, and here's Mom. She asked me again to take a photo of her. Then she said, while smiling, "I finally got my gift for myself." So happy for you, Mom ฅ•ﻌ•ฅ. I'm just waiting for the shoes I ordered for her to arrive. These are a good match for those shoes, for sure.
And that's how our quick trip to Pinamalayan ended. I feel like we spend more time traveling than shopping, lol. It's because after the shopping, we proceed to go home. But while waiting on the car, we order some cheeseburgers at Angel's Burger. And while on a traffic in Gloria, I saw this Pasalubong Shop that sells Buko Pie and Buko Tart, so I ran there quickly to buy the tart. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of the Buko Tart because we have a visitor and we had to serve it to her too.
