An entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by .
I decided to mix it up today (I'll save the cemetery for hopefuly next week, !), and headed back to the local swamp for a look-see at any new interesting wild flowers that have grown over the past week. The sun was high and hot, but the trail was, for the most part, empty, and I was able to zen out for a lunch time walk.
The one was interesting...not sure what it was, but it definitely is a pollinator. It was good to see the bees abuzz nearby.
I managed to capture a bird in flight on this one above.
Some yellow flowers that I've also noticed on the bluff nearby (and in the background of the landscapes above).
I found a couple of cattails starting to grow too; if I recall from my foraging books, that is something you can pick and ground into something edible.
Time to head back and see what else is out there today:
And of course, I had to check in with the geese family...
Thanks, as always, for stopping by and checking this out. The marsh, as I've mentioned before, is a special place for me and my family. I'm always happy to stop by and share images with everyone.
