An entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by .
For today's walk, I ventured along the Mississippi River's shoreline to take a look for any new wildflowers and plants that have grown since I last visited. I happened to be in luck; new flowers were everywhere, and despite the cloudy skies, the area still was beautiful.
I think this one is called Hoary Alyssum (at least that's what it looks like per my new book purchase, Wildflowers of the Midwest).
I'm guessing that one is Stiff Goldenrod.
I also found an apparently abandoned canoe...not sure where the canoeist went...
Also, a tiny tug boat ready to head out to the river waters...
I then climbed back on the hill, the sun starting to shine finally -
Snagged a few more photos from atop the little hill, shoreline:
Then headed back home for lunch. An easy enough Midwestern Wednesday Walk! Until next week, hoping everyone had a wonderful Wednesday, where ever you are.
