My #wednesdaywalk adventure, as inspired by , led me to an old beach on the drive home. Us landlocked midwesterners don't have the fortune for beaches along the oceans or seas. Instead, we find areas along rivers and lakes to enjoy the "waves" and the sun on the sand. This area is known as the Black River Beach, and it's a popular spot on the North side of the town I live in. With all that said, I thought I'd check it out as the sun began to set.
Obviously, it isn't quite winter here yet, but the views would make one think so. It didn't take much to get the November to feel in this area. The weather wasn't very November-like today, however; with temperatures in the mid-70Fs, it was a shame I had to spend most of it in an office.
Fortunately, I was able to stop along the river on the way home and take in the views.
The summer days might be long gone, as is the summer sun, but it's still a beautiful time of the year. The sky was thick with jet trails and clouds, but the breeze out of the west felt wonderful on my face. Who knows what this place will be like in two weeks!
All in all, despite the wall being brief, it was a good stroll. Not overly long or taxing, but good enough to feel like I didn't let my job completely waste the beauty of the day.
That's it for this week's #wednesdaywalk adventure! I appreciate the time you took to take a look at my shares. Next week, I'm feeling like it's time to get another "historical Wednesday walk" in...hopefully the weather cooperates yet again!
