Fall is just starting around here for this #wednesdaywalk by
Mid-morning is the best to go out for the lighting on fall colors. This time I only had my zoom lens so most of the photos are close-ups.
Some of the invasive vines are changing a nice red color.
Mostly its the maples that are changing to various hues of yellow and red.
I'm hoping this year most of the leaves will change all at the same time so there will be loads of color in the forest. Usually its the red maples that lose their leaves first then other maples and then a few spattering of holdouts change and there is only a few colorful trees at once.
This looks like some kind of Asian maple. Nice deep reds and tiny leaves.
The oak trees have more rusty red coloring and the acorns are piled up on the ground everywhere for the rodents to collect for winter.
The red maples are looking nice and bright against the still green oaks and maples.
Other photographers are everywhere trying to catch the start of the colors.
Here's some bright orange against the clear blue sky.
And finally another red maple nestled in between other green trees. Hopefully this next weekend we'll have tons more color in the forest.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
