Here are a few random sightings from walks this week for this #wednesdaywalk by
I took my daughter to a new nature center we hadn't been to yet. They had a large tank for a common snapping turtle. The reflection was quite interesting on the water's surface from underwater. Made a perfect symmetrical view of two turtles attached by the nose.
Here's what it looked like from above. Plenty of signs saying don't stick your hand in the tank lol.
They also had a tortoise enclosure. More signs on not to pet the turtle. I suspect this guy isn't quite as aggressive as the snapping turtle and would do a slow motion bite if any.
We got trapped here by all the books for at least an hour. I liked the interior design and halo lighting on this leaf the most lol.
I also managed to get to an aquarium and see these strange sand worm eel thingies. My daughter has a blub blub fish book with these in it so she was excited to see they really exist.
Now for a mineral display.
Whenever I see a nice display I take lots of pictures to save it for ideas for my job.
My daughter of course mashed the red button and I had to listen to the loud speakers with music talk about minerals. Then she mashed it again... Had to do a fast exit out of there for sanity.
I once had a mining project and wanted to do a feature like this for the company. But it became to expensive to get real minerals to display so they ended up just being graphics. Some of these chunks of stuff are worth more than their weight in gold. I guess it pays to be a rock hound and know what you are looking at just in case you happen to find a priceless display piece.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
