Here are a few scenes from my walks this past week for this #wednesdaywalk by
This was last Friday where a cold front moved in just in time for the sunset. It created a nice pink sunset that is quite common in AZ but rare here in IL. Must have been the ice crystals acting like dust particles separating out the light.
Then later on Monday it got really warm and windy again. This created a massive pollen or mold storm that make my eyes itchy.
All my fellow commuters on the train must have called in sick but it was just allergies.
Then on my way home yesterday we got all sorts of doomsday storm warnings about snow, hail, thunderstorms, rain and even tornadoes. The sky fogged up as up here in the north it was a cold front and down below us there was a warm front.
In the end the doomsday warning just produced a bit of misty rain and some lightning.
Now we are back at just rain and fog, typical of Chicago springs. I'm sure all the grass and trees will be blooming soon and my eyes will be itching again.
One thing to remember about living in Chicago is to always bring an umbrella. No matter if it is forecast to be sunny it could all change any instant and become rainy.
Also watch your step on the sidewalks, they designed some of these areas with slippery tiles that will make you do a backflip if you walk too fast on them while they are wet.
I spotted a strange old fashioned donut truck. These are quite the gourmet donut.
Here are some slippery rocks to sit on outside the CME building.
Now the sunglasses tint building will have a nice washing in the rain. From the inside of this thing you can really see the dirt if they haven't cleaned the windows because of the tint.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
