It was such a beautiful day walking around the town of Niagara on the Lake. This is the first time I have seen an entire town planted with so many gardens that were meticulously maintained. Today, I will share some of these plants and garden scapes that I saw on my walk around town.
The town had these long gardens in the middle of the highway throughout the main road. It was very colorful and stunning, to say the least.
Every corner had these beds of geraniums and cana lilies that were really nice as well.
Many of the businesses also had flower beds with a great array of plants between the sidewalk and the curb. No matter where you strolled throughout town you would see beds like this.
Look at how pretty and inviting this building is with all the hanging plants and ivy baskets draped over the banister in front of the building.
Here is another view of the meridian in the middle of the main road. I just found it such a tranquil and pleasant experience.
This was a brewery directly across from the restaurant where we had a wonderful lunch. I loved the look of brick with the black trim around the windows and doors giving the building a bit of a modern vibe.
This small bed was simple yet lovely with the shade plants planted underneath the large tree. I think the tall plant may be a Taro but I am not certain of that.
This was the entrance to a small park on the edge of town where we sat for a nice break.
I walked around taking some photos while my grandson played on the swings for a little while.
This tall statue stood in the middle of one of the gardens where they had different plaques that told some history about the founders of Niagara On The Lake.
Can you see why it was a peaceful place to take a break from all the walking?
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the beautiful gardens from around the town for this week's post for the Wednesday Walk Community.
Until next time, this is Sunscape
