Traveling is always exciting for me and it was especially so going up to Canada to meet my family early this fall. They had flown up from Panama City, Panama to visit Niagara Falls and the Toronto area.
We met them in Niagara Falls and stayed for three days to be with them. On this day, we took a drive to an area called "Niagara On The Lake". It was the most amazing town I had been to in a very long while. Since this is the holiday season, I will share this part of the day with you in this post.
Town Flag
After parking on the main road we came upon this sign explaining the town's flag, which I found very interesting.
Firehall Flame Restaurant
Firehall Flame was a pub that served lunch inside or curbside, which we decided to enjoy since it was a beautiful day.
Lunch Menu
I chose to have the Buffalo Chicken Wrap which was really spicy and delicious.
My son and husband chose the Lobster Sandwich, which after seeing I wished I had ordered as they both raved about how great it was.
Here is my lovely daughter-in-law and grandson while waiting for our meal to arrive.
After enjoying our lunch and a nice glass of wine from one of the local vineyards, we took a nice long stroll around the town. My grandson got a little tired so my son had to carry him for a little bit of it.
The vast variety of unique shops was a lot of fun to go into. Which brings me to today's #wednesdaywalk post at the "Just Christmas" shop.
These upside-down Christmas trees were hanging from the ceilings throughout the store and decorated in different themes. I really liked the colorful one that hung right at the entrance when you walked into the shop.
I have never seen so many #Christmas #Ornaments in one place before. No matter what your style or interest is, there was something that you would have definitely found for your tree.
Nutcrackers and old-fashioned characters from Christmas Past were very interesting. I personally have never liked Nutcrackers as I find them kind of creepy somehow.
Gnomes seemed to be scattered around the store and these were a few that I really liked.
If you wanted to have a lifelong keepsake to give to someone, these snowglobes were beautiful, yet, very expensive. The forest scene with the animals was my favorite one.
Reigndeer seemed to be another popular character in many different styles, and these salt and pepper shakers were kind of cute.
This picture reminded me of when I was a young girl going with my family to pick out our tree every year. It really brought back some of those memories and traditions that we enjoyed for so many years. Now, the younger generations can carry on with whichever ones they choose to share with their young children.
This trip to the Just Christmas Shop was so much fun and my grandson wanted so many ornaments for their tree at home in Panama.
Until next time, this is Sunscape
