Hello Hivians, what a busy day for me it was. I was in Edinburgh and had no time to take any photographs. The fluffers expected me to work!
Actually I have to go back tomorrow as well, although I should have some time to take some photos, so expect an Edinburgh walk next week
In the meantime this is from this evening when I had to go get some bananas for Mrs T to knock up a batch of green smoothies.
I try to participate in the Wednesday Walk challenge most weeks. But this week I tried to participate in the spirit of the initiative...
In so far not just to post some pretty pictures but actually go on a walk with a purpose...
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
I have always said there is beauty all around us, sometimes we just have to look.
I love weeds, often they are pretty.
I love the fact that they don't give a fluff.
Oh I am not meant to grow there .... well fluff you, I am going to 🤣
And railings
I do love garden walls with railings on.
Mind you in the second world war, they cut down many railings to used the iron.
Beautiful but deadly
Mind you Digitalis purpurea is gorgeous, foxglove is it's common name but it can be deadly, so don't fluffing eat it!
Colours galore
At this time of year you discover all the shades of green that there are. Throw in a bunch of reds, browns and burgundies and you get a free painting from nature!
Shop is round the corner!
The auld kirk on the hill.
I do love that church and its graveyard. They built up on a wee hill to give it some prominence.
I only came for two things!
No coconuts as per the title it was actually for some coconut oil scented toilet paper.
Does your country get cute wee puppies to sell you loo roll?
Two pounds for a pack of four. Good value actually I think!
Bananas
We eat alot of these now, not only in the smoothies but as snacks.
So of course I pick them up almost daily!
At the counter to pay they have some discount items.
I usually get our orchids here when they are discounted.
None of those are discounted, however there is a cute orchid there that I shall keep my eye on. Once they discount them, I often pick one up.
Roses are making a comeback
I thought roses were on their way out. But I have seen more people planting them. Which is cool, I love them.
Hanging baskets
Talking of things making a comeback, I am seeing more and more hanging baskets being put up.
They are such a great way to brighten up your doorstep!
Cheers everyone!
I hope you enjoyed our little adventure!
This post is for #wednesdaywalk which was inspired by
Thanks for visiting and I hope you managed to get out for a walk this week.
All images and ramblings are from me, the mad Scotsman TengoLoTodo unless otherwise stated. Note images are all snapped by me with my Google Pixel 9 XL Pro smartphone and some were used in canva to make the lead image.
