Hello Hello Hivians
Spring in the UK can mean so many things with respect to the weather.
It is not unheard of to have snow or hail ❄️
It is the time of the year to get out and get as much fresh air as possible.
So Mrs T and I popped a packed lunch I made and some animal food and headed up to our local park.
We parked ourselves on a secluded bench in the Rose 🌹Garden.
Munching a sandwich it was not long before the feathered friends were coming up to say hello. That was Jackie Jackdaw in all his spendour!
Scotland being Scotland Mrs T has learnt to always take her umbrella ☂️ with her wherever she goes!
There what had started out as a nice sunny day was rapidly turning into grey ominous clouds!
That was me trying out the panoramic shots!
We thought we would goto the pond and feed the ducks and swan and see if the rainclouds would clear. I was told to turn round and take some blossom shots by the bowling clubhouse.
One beauty about spring and the blossoms, cherry blossoms, apple blossoms etc and the gorgeous colours!
Pinks and whites abound and I am sure the wonderful would be in her element😁
Do you know there are some wee shites that hang around the park at night. They have broken windows in the clubhouse three times in the last year!
Here is another example of the wee shites!
☝️☝️ The Greater Spotted Scottish ShoeTree ☝️☝️
You would be fluffing amazed at what they hoiked up into about three or four trees.
I will make a separate post about the trees and the skate park that they are beside! If you think that is a lot of shoes, just wait until I post the trees in all their glory!
Mrs T is part Choctaw and part Cherokee native American and we have a running joke. She is like a scout and points out all sorts of things in nature to me that I miss.
Stop she told me as we went towards the ice cream van for an after lunch treat!
Take some shots of these beautiful flowers and then google them when we get home!
Yes ma'am!
I thought I would be all artsy and get down and dirty for a shot from underneath!
Guess who forget it had been raining, and the grass was like an ice rink...
Yep someone ended up on their arse, and someone else was laughing!
Hence the blurry shot
Now get some good shots of all those, they are pretty she says!
I think the big pink buds belong to a Rhododendron bush.
I must admit whenever I see flowers I think of #alwaysaflower and who is my goto flower guru. Am I wrong as usual Denise?
Now then lets change colour away from pink.
Hands up if you know what these ones are called?
I have a sneaky feeling that they are Rhododendron ‘Gartendirektor Rieger’ which flower in May and June?
It would make sense and they do look like what I found in Google Lens!
And there we go, some more of the gorgeous big pink buds!
#alwaysaflower is such a great tag, they really make a person smile, well this person anyway and he is the want that counts at the moment 🤣
So there we have them all together so perhaps they are all Rhododendrons!
All this detective work deserved a big treat!
A reason why you should always take money to the park!
When we don't the ice cream van is there.
Now Super Eli look I got both the Flakes as Mrs T is not a fan of 🍫
