Hello everyone, have you got your walking shoes on?
I went for a walk yesterday to take some pictures of our local Peace Garden for another post, and then carried on for a walk behind the woods in our local park.
Spring really is making an appearance now as you will see.
We are heading off to Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy, Scotland.

There are about five entrances to the Park and I take the one nearest to my home, which is about a five-minute walk away. I really have no excuse whatsoever not to take exercise every day. You can see football and rugby posts, as the park is home to Kirkcaldy Rugby Club and there are plenty of schools that use the pitches too.
Winter is a time when the winds hit us, and as a result many of the trees need renovating shall we say.

The weather was a typical Scottish March day, part cloudy, part dry, part sunny, part raining part everything simultaneously 🤣
This poor tree nearly got uprooted in one of the storms of last month and the park guys had to chop it up as it was a safety hazard hanging over the path that runs around the park.
As I said earlier Spring is on its way and the early flowers are out and about in force.

I love flowers and nature, but confess to not knowing the names of many things. I do however know these are Snowdrops, what I did not know however is that the scientific name is Galanthus nivalis and that they were named after earrings not snowflakes!
These were on the pathway after you enter the Park. I then headed to the place where I needed to be to take my pictures for my Peace post.

This is our Peace Garden that was created in 2012 by the Fife Interfaith group. This part of the park is popular with dog walkers and often I come here to eat some lunch and just chill. I will be inundated by doggies coming for a chat and a pat! In the left of the picture you can actually see the rugby club buildings in blue that I mentioned earlier. Once I took plenty of pictures of the Peace Pole in the Peace Garden and the sign telling you what it was about, I carried on with my walk and decided to go for a hike through the woods.

Before I got to the woods, I just had to take a picture of these gorgeous purple crocuses. Crocuses are another flower I know, and they are very popular in the UK. I remember my grandmother used to grow them, and this young rascal would help her repot some of the bulbs every year.
I blame but she has me addicted to google lens and I found out that these are actually Crocus vernus or Dutch Crocus, the biggest in the family.

Then we have the daffies, Daffodils are such a simple yet beautiful flower and I did notice that some people had cut the flowers of some of them, I saw the stems been cut. That is really crappy, let everyone enjoy them I say.
We had a mild winter temperature wise, not much frost even, but we had plenty of winds and storms, which cause havoc with the shrubs and plants as well as the trees.
I walked from the park to the woods via the fountain garden and had another shock.
Last year we had wild flowers planted and they were fantastic as a haven for the bees and this is what it looked like.

Now, they have planted those. This is I believe lavender and they planted some of that in other flower beds last year and I was not impressed. Let's hope that I am wrong!

Then it was into the woods I went.

The ground is looking so green already, I spent about forty minutes wandering through the woods.

Then I came across this little chappy who had been imprisoned in the tree as punishment, he did decline to say what he had done!
Home was calling or more specifically a cup of coffee.
I hope you enjoyed my wee tour of the woods in and around Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy, Scotland and this is my Wednesday Walk for
