Hello Hello Hivers, Hivians and all you degens out there!
Welcome to Wednesday.
The weather was gorgeous today, very sunny and it did top at 13 degrees, which is cold and am sitting here with the heating on!
Today though we are practising what #wednesdaywalk is all about!
Look at what is around you! It was kinda hard not to on this particular walk.
Fire damage at Scott Street in Perth.
When we up in Perth a few weeks for the Scottish Yarn show, Mrs T wanted to hit some charity shops!
No this was not the after shock of her efforts.
Unfortunately on the 13th of June there was a fire in this building and one person lost there life. It was a heck of a blaze and before the fire brigade had it under control it had made the flats unsafe.
This was them knocking it down, and the road was closed off.
I had earmarked four charity shops for Mrs T to look at being as they were all in very close proximity to each other and were up this road.
Luckily for us, they were letting pedestrians up this side street where the charity shops were.
And our 4 shops had just missed the fire so were open...
It was raining and I did not want to walk to ones on the other side of town until the rain stopped!
I knew what I was doing, and the Universe did too!
This sign in the first shop summed it up!
African inspired project bag thingy!
Of course this was snapped up, even though it was priceless Mrs T was having this. It is one of these things that open out and they put their needles, wool and pattern etc. A WIP they call it!
The wee wifey at the till said how about £3. A fluffing bargain I said!
Now Mrs T had bought a wadge of metal tins and wicker baskets the day before. I was wondering how we were going to get everything on the train home in a couple of days time!
Oh look a fluffing clock!
This was bought for 50 pence! It was a working mechanism and that was what she wanted. We have a great looking clock here that had a bust mechanism...
Problem solved!
To ERR IS HUMAN ..
to blame it on the other person is even more HUMAN!
This really is so apt!
Now this shocked me!
I saw the wee crochet bonnets and dresses and pointed the dolls out to Mrs T.
She hadn't seen them!!!
What the fluff was I doing pointing them out to her...
What an eejit 🤦♂
She had picked up a book up and was laughing away.
Mrs T is American but has been in the UK on and off since 1997 so pretty much knows most things here and could relate!
STUFF BRITS LIKE
We had to head to the supermarket to get some grub, and I had seen a break in the weather ... So we went for it!
