I have taken my daughter hiking before, but only on well defined paths etc. But today she wanted to do what she called a "big girl hike" with daddy. Se we walked Chedoke Trail to a side trail that takes you to Westcliffe falls.
I really did not expect her to make it very far, she is only 3 years old and the hike starts with climbing a cascade, then climbing a hill and partial trail of large rocks. Well she surprised me and not only made it to the waterfall, but all the way back out. Without a single complaint (not counting when she saw spiders lol) and telling me how much she loves hiking.
It was a fantastic Wednesday walk!
