The life of the city represents the river Ljubljanica. Many differnt looking bridges are connecting the two sides. Some of them are even decorated with colourful lights. By the river, there are many bars with music, nice restaurants and calmer places with benches where fishermens try their luck.
Old part has many statues and water fountains. The happiest place of them all represent the city parks. You can spot many old and interesting trees. The city also hides some big, happy Ginkgo trees. They are astonishing with their unique leaves.
Ljubljana is quite old city and has hidden architectural remains from Roman times. Most famous and popular buildings were build in 20th century. The city reminds of Prague in some ways.
Ljubljana is a place where cultural events play a very important role. In the summer there are lots of musicians playing, shows and other events. Opera and drama are also very active. In the park there is lots going on with yoga, slack lines and sport activities.
