Hi dear Hive community and #Wednesdaywalk enthusiasts!
We want to share our walk experience from this morning. The weather was nice but cloudy. We dressed up warm as it was quite cold with almost Winter like temperatures.
The forest in the other side of the valley was already waiting for us. The path was smooth and a bit slippery. Consequently, we took it easy and carefully. We were having a real Autumn weather lately with lots of rainy days.
This was perfect for us, since we knew we will definitely catch some nice mushrooms on the way. And surely we did! Not long from our starting point, we found a nice stone mushroom (said in italian “buonissimo porcino”). We hide it with lost of dried leaves, mark the place, so we would know on the way back where to stop and pick this small treasure. During the walk we spotted many more, but we didn’t collect them.
Autumn is magical. This you can most certainly see when you walk through the forest. The ground is covered in golden brown, red, yellow and orange leaves. A cycle of trees and as well vegetables is coming to an end. The earth deserves a little bit of rest now after all the good things it produced during the year.
After reaching back home we were greeted with already prepared lunch, lasagna with tasty bolognese cause but instead of regular pasta, pancakes were used for making layers. It was a welcoming dish and we were very happy. At least once in a while that we don’t need to cook. Even though we really enjoy it.
Now it’s time for work and other less pleasant necessities. ;-)
Thank you for reading! Wish all of you a nice rest of the day!
