Hello my friend, how are you today?
Today I will show you how I came to see with my own eyes the largest statue of Jesus in Europe, with a height of 22.5m, which can be considered the little sister of the statue in Rio de Janeiro.
I've wanted to do this walk for a long time and now I had the opportunity to see it for myself.
After walking a 6km paved road, when you actually walk through the forest you find a breathtaking view, and when you reach the top of the mountain and when the panorama opens up with the statue and all the surrounding view you are speechless.
As I wrote above, the statue is 22.5 m high, it was built in 2011 and completed in 2013, the structure is metal, the head, hands and mantle are made of stainless steel, you can also climb inside and reach the highest vantage point, which is the head of the statue.
Here there is also the option to reach the statue on foot or by bike.
When you get to the top of the mountain near the statue, some amazing views open up.
On the way back we came across a very playful squirrel.
