Yesterday was a beautiful day for a walk. I stepped outside at 5:00 PM to enjoy the fresh air. The sun was starting to go down, giving everything a soft and warm glow.
I walked to the Provincial Capitol. As I got closer, I saw the sunlight hitting the building. The white walls started to turn golden yellow 😁. The sky above was a pretty shade of ash blue with thin, wispy clouds floating by.
Then I saw the iconic "GUIMARAS" sign. It has a new look. The letters now have different bright colors, adding more festive vibe to the place. The big and yellow mango is still there next to it.

The capitol grounds were full of life and color. I saw some bright festive banderitas. There were long strings of flaglets in red, blue, yellow, and green stretched across the paths. There were also small colored flags. Those tiny flags danced in the breeze on tall white poles at the side of the road.

I also saw a large poster that said "Manggahan: The Sweetest Festival." It is happening from May 15 to May 24, 2026. This festival celebrates the famous sweet mangoes that grow here on the island. I am looking forward to the "Eat-All-You-Can" Mangoes. 😋
All these decorations are for the Manggahan Festival. You can feel the excitement in the air as everyone gets ready for the big celebration.

Even the trees seemed to be part of the show. Some had orange leaves that looked like fire against the blue sky. I walked along the new brick paths and watched the sunset. The ground turned bright orange as the sun slowly dipped down. I walked around the square for a while and enjoyed the peaceful moment.

It was a very peaceful walk. Seeing the colorful flags and the golden capitol made me feel happy and proud of my hometown. I can't wait for the festival to start. 🥰
