Last night, It was around 8 pm that we felt bored while waiting for the clock to tick 12:00.. so my family and my sister’s family decided to take a stroll at the Guimaras Provincial Capitol grounds..
Even from a distance, you can see the whole area glowing..
It’s so bright that it looks like a magical town inside a Christmas ball..
The first thing that hits you is the Provincial Capitol building itself..
It was draped in brilliant white and green lights,, making the grand columns look like they were glowing from the inside..
This is the view from the capitol building looking down to the grounds..
Since we are in the "Mango Capital of the Philippines" the decorations wouldn't be complete without our favorite fruit!!
The giant mango lanterns were glowing yellow, and were place beside the sparkling tunnel of lights..
There's also a Mango Christmas Tree..
It's a towering tree decorated with shining mangoes!!
It was such a fun, local twist on a holiday classic..
It was the highlight of the night for the kids and the adults who love a good selfie!
Walking through it felt like being inside a star..
There were also canopies in front of the food stallswith lights hanging down like glowing vines.. adding color to it were different colored cloths hanging from the side..
We walked past colorful tents with miniature tourist spots on the island..
Here are a few more shots of the display..
and here are a few more shot while we walked around the capitol grounds..
What I loved most wasn't just the bright lights, but the atmosphere..
The grounds were filled with families just like ours,, sharing laughs, taking photos, and enjoying the cool night air..
It wasn't a complicated night, but it was a beautiful one..

after strolling around for a few hours, the kids got tired and were asking if they could go back home to open their presents..
so we headed back and enjoyed the rest of the night excitedly opening our presents..
