Nature has this unique way of tending to us amidst tension. It calms our body with its tiny little leaves and cools us with its breeze. One place in our town that is famous when it comes to hiking and camping is Paharuhay Campsite. This campsite became famous years ago, but I didnโt visit it until it was visited by fewer people. Although they still have visitors nowadays, it is not as flocked by many like in past years. Also, I donโt like going to places that are famous. I cannot find the essence of the place while there are crowded souls around me.
I hope you are still reading until here because this is my first Wednesday Walk post in this community. I will show you around the campsite, but Iโll not be talking about its accommodations and price. Instead, Iโll be talking about the details I found in this sweet Wednesday Walk in Paharuhay Campsite. The first thing I noticed in the campsite was the flowers serving as colorful pigments in this silent place. I took a close shot to capture their beauty that rests under the sun with contentment. Flowers and leaves are essential parts of nature not only because they feed insects but also because they are a form of underrated therapy personally for me. Thatโs why I donโt forget to walk barefoot for some time every stroll I have with nature. It releases negativity in my body, and I react positively to the surroundings for I feel connected to it.
This is a signage under the cabins. This is obviously the camp ground for campers who wish to install their tents. If I were to choose, I would love to install my own tent for a better experience than rent a cabin/hut. I can stargaze and witness the passing of the day in my tent peacefully.
But a cabin is good also if you wish for some long comfortable stay, especially for couples or even friends. But since I am alone in this stroll and not planning to stay, I just sat on the ground and sometimes took photos I am using in this blog. This is a closer look at their cabin. The left side is a balcony where a 360-degree view of the mountain is the highlight of your stay. It looks cool actually and comfortable. A lot of memories are made in this rental cabin for sure. I wonder how happy it could be if it had life.
Some signages can be seen in the camp place. I love taking close photos of the signages because they are cute and they tell about directions/place. They are kind things ready to help the hikers navigate the site.
I guess I was not the only one who enjoyed the place. I bet this dog enjoyed it more. I saw this creature just looking at the view as if it was hunting down something, but in fact, just cherishing the moment. It is unusual for me to see animals acting like problematic humans, but I know that they have emotions, for sure. Whatever things we had in mind, me and the dog found answers in the nature.
As I walked near the part of the ground with flowers, I stumbled upon this bonfire area. It was not lit nor flaming. It is now just ash, but a stick lingered with them, or someone threw it out in there. Regardless, one thing is always the sameโthat before the woods became ashes of hope, there were people who shared laughter, sentiments, and time with each other during the night before I strolled the place. It is promising to know that a lot of people exited this place with happy hearts and a smile just like me.
These photos are some details of how nature sits still in the campsite, waiting to be discovered by many people. The leaves, the grasses, the mountain view warmed my heart. It touched my soul deeply as if it was my mother caressing me when I was sick. It is just so mesmerizing and peaceful to look at these details, to observe the often overlooked wonders of nature. If you look closely, closer than yesterday, you will hear nature teaching what you need to hear. And the time I strolled, it taught me of hope, and I left with hope.
This is a restaurant in the campsite where you can drink coffee and eat some complementary cuisine. They have a better view also as you talk with your friends and a wind gently touching your faceโexcept if it is Habagat. For sure, it would wreck your outfit and makeup. I bought some water in the restaurant because coffee wouldnโt do good for me that day. I would just palpitate and have the literal โcall of natureโ (Haha just kidding).
These are some photos my sister took during her own visit. I posted them here for the sake of giving you more context and visuals of the accommodation and the place without telling the details. Look at the dog, the pool, and the view when you eat. Doesnโt it look like a paradise?
I left the place after my hiking and spontaneous stroll. I got home with a tired body because of the steep path in and out of the mountain, but with a happy thought and heart. I hope you enjoyed my Wednesday Walk, dear readers. How about you? How did your Wednesday Walk go? Share it in the comment box โค๏ธ
