I haven't been here for two months. There have been many difficulties, but little by little I'm getting back to normal.
I must say that this celebration was pending because my own health problems had prevented me from setting a date to celebrate my husband's 20th anniversary. It's true that my husband and I had had a romantic dinner for the occasion, but the big celebration they wanted to throw us had proved impossible.
Once I recovered, we decided to rent a house with a pool, and my husband and the huge family we've built here in Guanajuato, Mexico, went there.
Several children, our adoptive parents, sisters and brothers from our church, and other guests had a wonderful day, filled with food, refreshments, and sweets.
My husband cooked a dish we make in Cuba, and the charcoal-grilled pork was very tasty, at least according to the participants in the celebration.
As expected, the children were the biggest cheerleaders in the pool, and when we decided to leave, it was a huge challenge getting them out of the water.
Another surprise of the day was the number of gifts they had in store for my husband and me, something we were truly grateful for because of everything it represents to us.
It was a wonderful day, and we enjoyed it as if we were in the middle of our own country and with our blood relatives.
Thank you for the wonderful day you gave us, and I wish many blessings to everyone involved in this community.
