Sobre la ciudad de Caracas se encuentra uno de los hoteles más exóticos y enigmáticos de la ciudad, un espacio que se ha transformado con el pasar de los años en un verdadero icono de la capital y al mismo tiempo ha cautivado a propios y visitantes. Recorrerlo es una experiencia reconfortante y caminar entre sus instalaciones es como viajar a un pasado que se mantiene vivo.

This time, my Wednesday feature focuses on that area of the Hotel Humboldt that serves as an exhibition hall—a place where abstract art takes center stage in a truly captivating setting, where figures of all kinds, colors, and a touch of kinetics intertwine to offer us a fresh and engaging experience, where each piece tells a different story and where, from an individual perspective, we’ll create a truly unique interaction.

En esta oportunidad, mi pasado del miércoles se centra en esa área del Hotel Humboldt que se nos presenta como una sala de exposiciones, un lugar en donde el arte abstracto se convierte en el protagonista de una escena totalmente cautivadora, en donde las figuras de todos los tipos, los colores y algo de cinetismo se entrelazan para brindarnos una experiencia fresca y atractiva, en donde cada pieza nos cuenta una historia diferente y en donde, desde el punto de vista individual, generaremos una interacción realmente única.

At the same time, elements and materials that were part of the hotel’s original furnishings—dating back to the 1950s—have been preserved and have now become true museum pieces. All these pieces stand out for their similar colors, great sturdiness, and a sense of solidity that has stood the test of time.

Al mismo tiempo se conservan elementos y materiales que forman parte del mobiliario original del hotel, los cuales datan de los años 50 y que ahora se han convertido en verdaderas piezas de museo. Todos estos aparatos se destacan por tener colores similares, una gran robustez y al mismo tiempo una sensación de solidez que ha logrado perdurar en el tiempo.

This is how this tour becomes a journey through two eras: on one hand, we encounter the 21st century with its dynamism, energy, and colors; on the other, the 20th century presents itself as a space that is somewhat more subdued and somber, yet at the same time remarkably enduring.

Es así como este paseo se convierte en una especie de andar entre dos épocas: encontramos al siglo XXI con su dinamismo, sus vibras y colores y, por el otro, el siglo XX se nos presenta como un espacio un poco más sobrio, pesado, pero al mismo tiempo muy duradero.

It is a very interesting experience, as it showcases two very different eras, yet their purpose remains practically the same: to offer guests and visitors a high-quality experience that leaves an indelible mark, one that will undoubtedly make a difference and leave a beautiful memory of the city of Caracas.

Es una experiencia muy interesante, ya que se trata de una muestra de dos épocas muy distintas, pero cuya finalidad sigue siendo prácticamente la misma: brindar a los huéspedes y visitantes una experiencia de alta calidad y con una huella indeleble, la cual sin duda alguna marcará la diferencia y dejará un bonito recuerdo de la ciudad de Caracas.

Honestly, I never thought my stay at the hotel would include a tour as fantastic and original as this one, where I could get up close with extraordinary works of art and fascinating historical elements. This scene stands out for its perfection and excellent visual dynamism.

Sinceramente, nunca pensé que mi estadía en el hotel incluiría un recorrido tan fantástico y original como este, en donde pudiera convivir de cerca con extraordinarias piezas artísticas, con interesantes elementos históricos. Esta escena se destaca por su perfección y un excelente dinamismo visual.
