Hello wednesday walk community! I have a bit of a headache because I didn't sleep enough last night. I watched the "Magpasikat" performance of team Karylle on Showtime. It's fun to watch shows like this. I just finished eating lunch and am having a snack now while writing. Our dish was sauteed mussels which is one of my favorite seafood. Anyways what I will share for the Wednesday walk is when I voted last week of the Barangay elections.
Every election I go back to my home town in Cavite because I am a registered voter there. I don't want to change or transfer, I have to accompany my parents to vote because they are seniors. Tatay had a stroke and it was difficult for him to write so I wrote for him when he voted even though my hand hurt that day. It's different because in barangay elections, the name of the running captain and councilor must be written on the ballot compared to national elections, just shade the circle next to candidates to be voted for.
Busy Street
We wake up early so we can vote early as usual, it's better to avoid the heat of the sun and many people will vote when we reach noon. The school is nearby, so Mom and I just walked going to school. She was with me but I waited Tatay at the gate, he just let us go first. The election used to be held here in our elementary school. A lot has changed in the school, here I studied Grade 5 and Grade 6. Now there are new buildings and even up to the 4th floor. Our school is called old because on the other side is a new school. Maybe because it was established earlier than the new school. In the new one, the space is small compared to my previous school, which was wide. I studied Grade 1 to Grade 4 in Muntinlupa, we just moved there to Cavite. There was no kindergarten before so I entered Grade 1 right away.
While waiting I went inside the school, borrowed Mom's phone and take photos of the surroundings. These beautiful purple flowers are what I passed by.
We went to the rooms at the end. You need to remember the precint number and the number of the name on the list. To quickly find and finish immediately.
It's good that there is a bench seat in the senior citizen lane, pwd and pregnant so we are there with my parents. But the 15-59 years old vote alternately after the seniors. It took me a while to finish because I wrote two ballots. Mom waited for me outside but I borrowed her phone again and told her to go home first because I will take more pictures.
Variegated Mayana Plants
I went to the school's small garden. They recycled the tires and turned into plantations of Mayana plants.
I have no idea what kind of plants those are, maybe it's a petchay in school garden.
It's really nice to have a tree in the schools because in the hot weather, the students rooms need to have fresh air and be comfortable.

School Gate
When I got home, I thought the two had gone home, but it turned out that Mom went to the market because she bought ingredients for the rice cake and pansit she had cooked on 'All Saints Day". Father went to the lottery, I thought he was still gossiping (maritess) haha.
After voting, an indelible ink is put on the right index finger nail, proof that the person has done voting. (Why does the in charge person seem to have put a lot of ink on my nail, lol) But it's gone now.
My brother's father in law won as Barangay Captain in Bulacan. His godmother at their wedding, who I voted for, did not win but can still try in the next elections. Just like that, accept the decision according to what people voted for and move on. Of course, during the election, vote for the right leader and vote wisely.
That’s all for today's #WednesdayWalk challenge initiated by . I hope you enjoy reading. Thank you!
