My first post this year. I love my city at the holidays. Here in Ukraine, they starts on Christmas Dec 25th, continues on New Year, and then we have long Orthodox Christmas holidays. So this is a long season indeed.
WednesdayWalk is a good opportunity (or excuse) for hanging around the city aimlessly. Acquaintance with the city almost necessarily begins with my WednesdayWalk π
I started from the bridge where my previous searching for the while mouse finished. I found new art space in the most unexpected place that I'd never visit. Actually I didn't think there is a space there at all.
They have such a cool background for selfies and photo taken by your spouse π π
I have wings now!
Some graffiti are still under the process of creation. I suppose this place will look contemporary with creative works till next season.
From here, I decided to take an unusual public translort - Kyiv funicular. It's always crowded on holiday season, and always empty on ordinal day. It's slow but the way is short and it's cheap.
There is a tiny balcony of rods on the top station. After a while, I was brave enough to step out there and take few shots not through dusty glass.
Phew!!.
Now back on the dry land. As you can see, frost and wind doesn't matter for true artist! π
I'm headed to the Sofiivska Square, one of the most beautiful main and visited sqares of Kyiv.
The Main New Year Tree of Ukraine is must see... and not only for me. You don't need any Covid proofs or papers to enter Christmas Fair.
If I were Santa... But I'm not, and I don't feel like going into those crowd across the street. Maybe next day, or next year. In addition, from here I have a better view. It's absolutely lovely from across the street.
That's all, folks! Hugely appreciate your time and support. Stay safe, and have a wonderful day π€
