Este paseo, decidí hacerlo para ver mi habana desde el otro lado de la bahía y lo comencé por el pueblito de Regla. fundado en 1687 y nombre autóctono fue Güaicanamar, que significaba "frente al mar”.
This tour, I decided to do it to see my Havana from the other side of the bay and I started it by the small town of Regla. It was founded in 1687 and its native name was Güaicanamar, which meant "in front of the sea".
En la antigüedad, Regla estaba cubierta de una vegetación de coabal, de la cual quedan relictos en algunas colinas, como la Colina Lenin. Hoy el coabal ha desaparecido, se hallan la Terminal “Haiphong”, los Astilleros de Casablanca, los Molinos “Turcios Lima” y “José Antonio Echeverría”, la Terminal de Contenedores de la Habana(TCH) entre otras empresas.
In ancient times, Regla was covered with coabal vegetation, of which relics remain on some hills, such as Lenin Hill. Today the coabal has disappeared, there are the "Haiphong" Terminal, the Casablanca Shipyards, the "Turcios Lima" and "José Antonio Echeverría" Mills, the Havana Container Terminal (TCH) among other companies.
Como todo pueblo sus calles estrechas, pero no por eso menos bellas. No dejas en el andar de admirar sus parques y Su municipalidad, caminando bajo el tibio sol llegue a su emboque, desde donde mi habana con sus almacenes parece lejana. Desde aquí se puede llegar a través de una lancha al otro lado de la Bahía.
Like any other town, its streets are narrow, but no less beautiful for that. Frete a este emboque o muelle está su iglesia, referente para todos y en especial para los réglanos, como se les conoce a su pobladores .la iglesia de la Virgen de Regla. Construida en en 1694, la ermita por los españoles y en 1805 se le otorga al Santuario la categoría de Parroquia.es una iglesia pequeña, construida de grandes bloques de piedra y un techo de madera, con tejas francesas. La misma posee un patio que te invita a descansar y reflexionar, encuentras en las imágenes en mármol, su fuente y entre rocas imágenes católicas que despiertan cualquier curiosidad.

Su interior posee un techo de madera igual con arcones y grandes lámparas, y uno de los grandes vitrales con la imagen de nuestro patrón San Cristóbal de la Habana. Las imágenes de su patio son esculpidas en mármol de Carrara. Sigue siendo su patio mi mayor confort, descansé en él, y me dediqué por unos minutos a seguir mirando y enamorándome de mi habana desde la famosa Bahía de Regla.
Its interior has a wooden ceiling with chests and large lamps, and one of the large stained glass windows with the image of our patron saint San Cristobal de la Habana. The images of its patio are sculpted in Carrara marble.
