¿Como están pasando su fin de semana? Por este lado estamos bien gracias a Dios, disfrutando de este clima que nos regala está época tan especial.
Ayer mi hija Gabriela tenía su presentación de El Cascanueces en su clases de lírico, así que nos tocó ir hasta el municipio Gómez. Como siempre, tomamos la ruta por Manzanillo para llegar a tiempo, pero al regresar decidimos hacerlo por La Asunción y fue una buena decisión.
Al pasar por el Portachuelo de Tacarigua, justo en la entrada/salida del municipio Gómez, nos topamos con el Mirador de Tacarigua y una decoración navideña que me encantó. Ya la había visto días atrás cuando llevé a mi hija a sus ensayos, pero como iba manejando sola, no me pude detener. Esta vez, como venía con mi esposo, le pedí que intentara parar un momento en el mirador para poder tomar una foto. El acceso no es tan fácil, pero con paciencia lo logramos.
La decoración es hermosa. Un letrero grande que dice “Feliz Navidad” acompañado de un arbolito inmenso con luces que resaltan en la oscuridad de la noche. También hay una representación de la bandera del municipio Gómez, lo que me pareció un detalle muy bonito y significativo. Todo está hecho con mucho cariño y dedicación, se nota el esfuerzo por resaltar el espíritu navideño y embellecer ese punto tan emblemático del municipio.
Poder tomar esa foto fue muy especial y sobretodo por estar en este mes tan bello como lo es diciembre. Esas lucecitas en medio de la noche, el poder visitar el Portachuelo y la emoción de haber visto a mi hija en su presentación hicieron que el momento fuera aún más especial. Me sentí agradecida por vivir en un lugar donde aún se conservan estas tradiciones y donde se valora tanto la Navidad.
Y ustedes amigos si tienen la oportunidad de pasar por allí, se los recomiendo. Ya sea que entren o salgan del municipio Gómez, no dejen de mirar hacia ese mirador. Vale la pena detenerse un momento, respirar profundo y dejarse envolver por la belleza de la temporada. Diciembre tiene ese no sé qué que nos llena el corazón y lugares como este lo hacen aún más especial.

Yesterday, my daughter Gabriela had her Nutcracker performance in her ballet class, so we had to go to the municipality of Gómez. As always, we took the Manzanillo route to get there on time, but on the way back we decided to go through La Asunción, which turned out to be a good decision.
As we passed through Portachuelo de Tacarigua, right at the entrance/exit of the municipality of Gómez, we came across the Mirador de Tacarigua and some Christmas decorations that I loved. I had already seen it a few days earlier when I took my daughter to her rehearsals, but since I was driving alone, I couldn't stop. This time, since I was with my husband, I asked him to try to stop for a moment at the viewpoint so I could take a photo. Access isn't that easy, but with patience we managed it.
The decorations are beautiful. A large sign that says "Merry Christmas" accompanied by a huge tree with lights that stand out in the darkness of the night. There is also a representation of the flag of the municipality of Gómez, which I found to be a very nice and meaningful detail. Everything is done with great care and dedication; you can see the effort made to highlight the Christmas spirit and beautify this emblematic spot in the municipality.
Being able to take that photo was very special, especially because it was in the beautiful month of December. Those little lights in the middle of the night, being able to visit Portachuelo, and the excitement of seeing my daughter in her performance made the moment even more special. I felt grateful to live in a place where these traditions are still preserved and where Christmas is so highly valued.

It is worth stopping for a moment, taking a deep breath, and letting yourself be enveloped by the beauty of the season. December has that certain something that fills our hearts, and places like this make it even more special.
