Mi experiencia en la tienda "El Castillo" en la Isla de Margarita en esta temporada [ESP-ENG]

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia que me agrado y que quizás les anime a reconsiderar una visita al centro de la ciudad, ese lugar que muchos evitamos por lo caótico que puede ser, especialmente en diciembre. Yo misma quedé un poco “traumada” la última vez que fui con mi hija Gaby, estacionar fue una odisea, las tiendas estaban abarrotadas y el estrés fue tal que juré no volver en mucho tiempo.

Sin embargo, hace poco tuve que romper esa promesa. Mi hijo necesitaba una tela para hacer un gorro y un delantal, así que decidí aventurarme nuevamente al centro. Esta vez, tomé mis previsiones y ubiqué el carro en un lugar estratégico que me permitiera salir con facilidad. Y les cuento que me llevé una sorpresa.

Entré a la tienda El Castillo, conocida por estar ful de gente en temporadas altas y está vez me encontré con un panorama completamente distinto. Estaba prácticamente vacío. No había colas para pagar, las chicas estaban disponibles para atenderte con amabilidad, los pasillos despejados y la mercería que suele ser un espacio pequeño y congestionado—estaba completamente solo. Fue una experiencia tan distinta que no podía creerlo.

Además de la tela, aproveché para darme una vuelta por la sección de artículos de fiesta. Mi hija está próxima a cumplir años y aunque no era mi intención inicial, encontré un topper de “Feliz Cumpleaños” por tan solo $1. Me pareció una buena oferta, considerando que mandarlo a hacer podría haber salido más caro. También vi una gran variedad de globos, bolsas de cumpleaños y sets completos para fiestas que ya he comprado antes y puedo decir que son de buena calidad. Me encanta que todo venga listo para armar un lindo set de cumpleaños sin complicaciones.

Otra novedad que me llamó la atención fue que ahora, en el área de mercería, incluyeron un pequeño espacio para vender fragancias, cremas y splash tanto para damas como para caballeros. Los precios oscilaban entre 3$ y 8$ y sinceramente, olían divino. Es un detalle que no esperaba encontrar en una tienda de telas, pero que sin duda suma puntos a la experiencia de compra.

Así que, si están pensando en hacer alguna compra de telas o artículos de fiesta, les recomiendo que aprovechen este momento. El centro está mucho más tranquilo y El Castillo, en particular, está súper chévere. Nada que ver con el caos de otras épocas del año. A veces, cambiar el momento en que visitamos un lugar puede hacer toda la diferencia.

Today I want to share with you an experience that I enjoyed and that might encourage you to reconsider a visit to the city center, that place that many of us avoid because of how chaotic it can be, especially in December. I myself was a little "traumatized" the last time I went with my daughter Gaby. Parking was an odyssey, the stores were crowded, and the stress was such that I swore I wouldn't go back for a long time.

However, I recently had to break that promise. My son needed some fabric to make a hat and an apron, so I decided to venture into the city center again. This time, I took precautions and parked my car in a strategic location that would allow me to leave easily. And I must say, I was surprised.

I went into El Castillo, a store known for being packed with people during peak seasons, and this time I found a completely different scene. It was practically empty. There were no lines at the checkout, the sales assistants were available to help you kindly, the aisles were clear, and the haberdashery section, which is usually a small and congested space, was completely empty. It was such a different experience that I couldn't believe it.

In addition to the fabric, I took the opportunity to browse the party supplies section. My daughter's birthday is coming up, and although it wasn't my initial intention, I found a "Happy Birthday" cake topper for only $1. I thought it was a good deal, considering that having one made could have been more expensive. I also saw a wide variety of balloons, birthday bags, and complete party sets that I have purchased before and can say are of good quality. I love that everything comes ready to put together a nice birthday set without any complications.

Another new feature that caught my attention was that now, in the haberdashery area, they have included a small space to sell fragrances, creams, and splash for both women and men. The prices ranged from $3 to $8, and honestly, they smelled divine. It's a detail I didn't expect to find in a fabric store, but it definitely adds to the shopping experience.

So, if you're thinking about buying fabrics or party supplies, I recommend taking advantage of this moment. The mall is much quieter, and El Castillo, in particular, is super cool. It's nothing like the chaos of other times of the year. Sometimes, changing the time we visit a place can make all the difference.
