This unique hat picture was taken in Semporna during the regata lepa festival where all people who living on water and land celebrating this festival together.
Have you hear about group of people that living on their boat for most of their life? Yes , they still exist in our region which was also known as sea gypsy . They are living on their boat for most of their life , but some of them has been migrate to nearby land and stay on shore . This unique wedding costume is a combination culture between the land and sea people . The sea people is love those colourful art on their hat , while the land people who is mostly muslim in that place is just use the simple malay clothes for the wedding .
