The small Balearic island of Formentera is famous for having the cleanest and clearest waters in the Mediterranean Sea, and this is because it is surrounded by posidonia meadows, a seaweed that purifies the sea and keeps it healthy and clean.
This image is taken on the popular beach of Ses Illetes (the little islands), located in the north of the island and within the Natural Park of Ses Salines, having a high degree of protection.
